Names of Hostels in IIT Madras

IIT Madras follows a curious custom of naming hostels after rivers of India...Here's the list picked from the IIT alumni site...



Old Hostels: AL: Alakananda, BR: Brahmaputra, CU: Cauvery, GD: Godavari, GG: Ganga, JM: Jamuna, KR: Krishna, MN: Mandakini, NR: Narmada, SH: Sharavati, SR: Saraswathi, SY: Sarayu, and TP: Tapti.

New Hostels: MH: Mahandi, PM: Pampa, SN: Sindhu, and TM: Tamraparni.

Wonder when Cooum will join this list :-)
